Taylor Ryan have partnered with Ledingham McAllister, an entrepreneurial and well-established real estate development company. The company has 120 years of successful building and construction in British Columbia. Commitment, integrity and performance are hallmarks of the company, having completed or are underway with various master-planned communities and projects such as Escala, Aviara, Seasons, Cameron, Century, Waterscapes, Cedar Creek and Southgate City. In addition to their master-planned communities, they are in the construction and planning stage of over 20 projects encompassing commercial, mixed-use and residential components, with the potential to build over 19,000 residential units and 4 million square feet of commercial space.

Taylor Ryan is conducting a search for a VP Development, reporting to President and CEO, to lead the development of the Southgate City project. We are in search of a proven results oriented, detailed and meticulous individual with exceptional organizational skills. You will have a minimum of 15 years of direct experience in development planning and construction, managing master planned communities and a wide range of multi-use developments including high-rise and low-rise multi- family developments.

To be successful in this role, the VP Development will have the ability to lead, mentor and collaborate in a team environment to implement development, construction schedules and plans in accordance with project requirements. You will have the ability to concurrently lead and manage multiple phases of a large master-planned community while having a thorough understanding of local municipal planning and development guidelines and policies. You will understand urban design and planning principles and prepare development proformas, demonstrating a strong understanding of development financing. The role will be responsible for leading, directing and coordinating project consultants, development team members and work closely with the construction team members through the entire project life cycle. The VP Development will also review, coordinate and monitor architectural and engineering plans, requests for information, construction budgets and scheduling.

The VP Development must demonstrate exceptional leadership, interpersonal skills and communication abilities in order to develop excellent relationships with staff, consultants, municipal staff, the public and other stakeholders. You will ideally have a related post-secondary or post graduate degree and training in urban planning, real estate development, architecture and/or civil engineering.
