Due to the continued growth of the organisation, Hungerford Properties is now searching for a VP Development to provide leadership support to the development team. This role will champion the Hungerford Corporate Culture through supporting and setting the tone for the business. They will provide long-range strategic direction and overall execution of the business, departmental and corporate plans. As the department leader you will be accountable for providing guidance on the acquisition strategy and manage the detailed due diligence and underwriting. You will manage and develop the Development team members to lead site inspections, chair project and site meetings, initiate value engineering and manage issues between sub-trades, consultants and construction teams.
To be suitable for this role you will have had successful progression within the property development industry for at least 15 years, ideally within residential multifamily, industrial, office, retail and / or mixed-use projects. You will be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully managing complex and challenging projects through the entire investment cycle of assets and display an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong understanding of the development process. Ideally you will have relevant post-secondary education such a degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or Commerce, with a concentration in real estate or urban land economics.
