Musqueam Capital Corporation (MCC) is the economic development arm of the Musqueam Indian Band formed for the purposes of developing and managing Musqueam’s extensive land and real estate holdings and other business assets. MCC has several development projects and opportunities both on- and off-reserve and also oversees two golf courses and several other assets. MCC is currently developing lelǝḿ, a 22 acre mixed-use community totaling 1250 residential units and 30,000sf of retail in the University Endowment Lands. Other off-reserve holdings include the University Golf Club lands, Bridgepoint lands and several parcels in the South Granville Area.


Taylor Ryan is pleased to partner with MCC in their search for a Vice President, Real Estate to lead and oversee real estate development for MCC and asset management of its real estate portfolio.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Real Estate will ensure financial viability of projects and recommend new acquisitions for a growing portfolio of income producing assets. While growing and providing mentorship to the development team, the VP Real Estate will oversee land and building development, from master-planning and concept through design, approvals, construction, sales and marketing. The role is diverse, and responsibilities also include overseeing leasing, asset management, branding, partnerships and acquisitions.


The ideal candidate will possess a business and/or MBA degree with specialization in real estate and at least 20 years of experience in real estate development, preferably on residential projects and master-planned communities. Senior management experience in development and/or asset management roles and extensive experience managing a diverse mix of projects through the full development cycle is required.


As part of a part of a small and dynamic team, you must have exceptional interpersonal, mentorship and leadership skills and an ability to proactively problem solve and manage multiple competing priorities. You are a skilled communicator and networker and have extensive experience with complex public consultation processes.
