As Elevate continues to grow, an opportunity now exists for an experienced project accountant to join the team. Working closely with the Vice President, the Senior Project Accountant will manage the finance and reporting for the business’s projects.

As the company’s nine current projects progress in their development, the Senior Project Accountant will be responsible for managing each critical stage of this process. The role will manage the monthly cost and profitability reporting, including the tracking of equipment and fixed asset costs. The Senior Project Accountant will review the Accounts Payable for each project and ensure the required information is transmitted effectively between site and the accounting team. They will pursue payment collection from clients and report any overdue balances to the executive team. The Senior Project Coordinator will also have responsibility for managing construction draws, tracking subcontractor commitments and enter progress payments as required.

To be a success in this role, the Senior Project Accountant will have extensive experience working in construction, development or project accounting, ideally managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will be proficient in a range of software programs and will ideally be able to guide business decisions on the most effective processes to managing the project accounting process. This role requires a strong organizational ability, a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy, analysis and problem-solving skills.
