Our client, located in Burnaby, is searching for a Group Controller to join their team. This position will be an integral part of the Financial Control team and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s finance and accounting operations worldwide. This role will interact internally with the various department managers as well as regional leaders.

You will support planning initiatives, will participate in the annual budgeting process, and will be responsible for communicating changes in estimates to the FP&A team. At the same time, you will be responsible for issuing the financial reporting to the senior executives and parent company and for tax compliance and effective transfer pricing strategy deployment world-wide. You will supervise the Regional Controllers/Accounting Managers that are responsible for North America, Europe and Asia. As the Group Controller, you will also interact externally with the company’s auditors, insurance agents, banks, parent company, government agencies, suppliers and various customers. The ideal candidate will have international experience and will have led teams remotely in the past.

To be suitable for this role you will have a University degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, will be CPA designated, and will have 8-10 years of progressive leadership roles in accounting. Experience in manufacturing and inventory processes will be an asset.
