Catalyst Community Developments Society is a not-for-profit real estate developer/owner/operator with approximately 1100 units of affordable rental home and 75,000 sq. ft. of community-serving space currently in various stages of development across BC. They are a group of smart, hard-working, dedicated people that enjoy what they do, and believe strongly in their mission. They currently have twelve projects in active development, with an approximate value of $600M, with several additional projects anticipated to ramp up over the next six months. By the end of this year they will be the owner (and part owner) of 583 new below market rental homes, growing to approximately 715 in the next few years.

Taylor Ryan is pleased to Partner with Catalyst in their search for an experienced real estate professional to join the team. Reporting to the President, the Director, Property Operations provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure Catalyst has the proper operational, administrative, and financial management procedures, processes, and systems in place to effectively meet all of Catalyst’s property and asset management commitments, as well as to ensure its operating efficiency. This role will be focused on the following key areas, Asset Management strategy, Property Maintenance, Tenant Relations and Retention, Community Relations, Lease Renewals and New Leasing, team leadership, etc.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a minimum of 7-years’ experience in real estate with at least 3 years in property management, ideally with rental strata experience. Other experience such as asset management, project management or tenant coordination will also be considered. A Real Estate Council of BC Rental Property Management Services License is required. Familiarity with not-for-profit structures is an asset. You will have an honest, open, and consistent approach when working with others; possesses strong relationship and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and to develop and maintain partnerships.
