Taylor Ryan have partnered with Rize to help them identify a Director, Real Estate Finance for their downtown office. The Director, Real Estate Finance will be responsible for all capital requirements of the organization. This role will report directly to the Head of Accounting and Finance and will work closely with other key stakeholders in the business. The candidate will be instrumental in overseeing all debt and equity requirements for the group of companies. It is expected that the candidate will be self-sufficient in relation to sourcing debt, if there is a lack of experience in placing equity partnerships, this will be trained over time. In addition to the capital portion of the role, the successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Accounting to ensure the department is operating at a high standard.
The Director, Real Estate Finance will be responsible for managing all debt and equity origination including but not limited to sourcing relationships, overseeing the preparation of request for financing packages, appraisals etc. The Director, Real Estate Finance will have a strong Financial Analyst reporting into them. They will also be the lead for all finance legal work including loan agreements, limited partnership agreements, shareholder agreements, and management service agreements.
To be suitable in this role you will be passionate about real estate, development, finance, and investment with significant experience in real estate capital markets – debt or equity. You will come with 10+ years’ experience from a bank, private lender, developer or other financial market background. Ideally you will have your MBA or CFA designation and be a team player who can work well with all departments. Experience within the real estate industry is preferred.
