British Pacific Properties (BPP), a family-owned business for three generations, has played a unique role in developing West Vancouver.  This includes constructing the Lions Gate Bridge, which opened the North Shore to development, creating Capilano Golf Club and building Park Royal, Canada’s first covered shopping centre, and creating exceptional master planned communities from the original British Properties to the recent Whitby Estates, a neighbourhood renowned for its high level of design and unparalleled views.

BPP is now entering an exciting period of growth as it builds out the Rodgers Creek neighbourhood and develops a new mixed-use project to support Rodgers Creek and the future Cypress Village and Cypress West master planned communities.  Cypress Village will include single family, townhome, apartment, commercial and mixed-use components in a natural setting at the foot of the Cypress Mountain recreational area.  These projects could see over 5,000 homes developed over the next 20 to 30 years.

BPP is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide overall leadership to the finance, accounting, and administration functions for BPP’s operations as well as provide input into the strategic direction of the company’s short and long-term business plan.  As a key member of the Executive team, the Chief Financial Officer will report directly into the President and also serve as the company’s Corporate Secretary.  The Chief Financial Officer will be expected to build and oversee the financial and accounting infrastructure to support the completion of Rodgers Creek and the development of Cypress Village.

The successful candidate will ideally come from a real estate background with a CPA designation and 15+ years experience.  They will be a strategic thinker, lead risk management initiatives and will have the capability to analyze and execute complex corporate financing structures.  They will possess strong interpersonal and demonstrated leadership skills.  The successful candidate will be well suited to working in a smaller team environment and be looking for a unique role where their experience and skills can add real value.

To apply, please include “CFO” in the subject line and forward your resume (word format) to Chris Gillard at chris@taylorryan.com

We thank all candidates in advance. Only qualified candidates will be contacted.
