A leading local development business with projects and properties across Western Canada are currently searching for an Accounting Manager for their team to support the long-term growth of the business. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for a broad range of tasks from overseeing some of the corporate reporting, through to managing some of the property accounting requirements of complex, large-scale properties.

In addition, the Accounting Manager will assist in the preparation of year end financial statements, cash management, development accounting, loan draws and other areas of the business. They will ensure the property accountants have successfully closed out the month-end procedures and take part in the accounting for new acquisitions analysis and year end statements to tenants. They will participate in the annual operations and capital budget review processes, for both the corporate and property accounting teams. They will also design new reports for corporate and operational analysis and work closely with external audit firms to ensure successful compliance.

To be suitable for this role you will be a designated CPA with at least five years of experience, ideally with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent. You will ideally have some experience working in the real estate industry, preferably with Yardi and RealPac. You will be a driven, high-performing team member who is willing to foster a culture of accountability and performance.
